 Definition of Procedure Text

Exposition text is a text that contains paragraphs or essays with a variety of pieces of knowledge and information presented briefly, concisely, accurately, and, easily understood.

Purpose of Procedure Text

The purpose of an exposition text is to explain, inform, or clarify a specific subject, concept, idea, process, or phenomenon. Exposition texts are written with the primary goal of providing readers with a clear and objective understanding of the topic being discussed. 

Social Function of Procedure Text

Give the latest information / to inform readers or listeners about the events of the day which are considered newsworthy or important. 

Languange Features of Procedure Text

Descriptive Language: Descriptive language is used to clarify and illustrate key points. It helps readers visualize and better understand the subject.  

Definitions: Key terms or concepts are defined to ensure clarity and prevent misunderstandings.  

Facts and Data: Exposition texts rely on facts, statistics, research findings, and data to support their explanations.

Conclusion: The conclusion summarizes the main points and restates the thesis or main idea. It may also offer a final thought or implication related to the topic.
